There are a number of choices one has to make when picking
out a stealth grow box. Hydroponics vs. soil, LED lighting vs. HID, and whether
or not to include a cloning chamber, to name a few. Then you have to decide how
big you want to go. Do you want just one, all-purpose indoor grow box or does
it make more sense to invest in a stealth grow closet combo that affords you a
greater, and more continuous, annual yield? Here are a few guidelines for your
various secret grow box combo options:
Want a Cloning Chamber? Consider Buying Stealth Grow Cabinet Combos
The biggest downside of including a cloning chamber in your
indoor grow boxes is that it limits growing space needed for your flowering
plants. The simplest solution to this is to buy two stealth grow cabinets as a
combo deal—one with a cloning chamber and one without. This way, you’ve not
only got enough room for your flowering plants to blossom, but you’ve also got
the ability to nearly double your annual yield, since you can be growing new
clones at the same time that your main crop is fruiting. Of course, an
additional benefit of including a cloning chamber in your stealth grow is that
you can keep your plant genetics for life!
Hydroponics Vs. Soil Grow Cabinet Stealth
Quality of annual yield is going to be the same whether you go
with a hydroponic stealth grow or stick with a soil setup. Soil grow boxes are
cheaper and require less know-how, but hydroponic grow boxes provide a higher
yield per square foot with a faster grow rate. Which you choose really depends
on your personal preferences and available cash. Don’t steer clear of
hydroponics for fear of not being able to operate them, though. Depending on
which stealth grow box options you get, there are hydroponic setups that are
almost completely automated and require very little maintenance.
The Best Lighting Option for Stealth Growing
HPS/Metal Halide lighting has been around for a long time, and,
indeed, works very well. While we do have these HID lighting options available,
when it comes to indoor stealth growing, we generally prefer LED grow box
lighting instead. The biggest reason is the monthly electricity bill. HID
lighting systems are very energy inefficient, whereas LED grow boxes don’t draw
more than any other household appliance does each month. Add in the fact that
HID lighting runs VERY hot (around 149 degrees!) and lasts only a year or so
before needing replacement bulbs, while LED runs much cooler (around 70
degrees) and has a lightbulb lifespan of seven or more years, LED seems the
obvious choice for a truly stealthy grow.
There are stealth grow box options for every would-be grower out
there and, of course, there are combo deals available for each of the above
options. Take the time to investigate your options so that when you do make
your purchase, you’re certain you’ve got the best grow box combo out there!
