The Options to Consider Before Buying a Stealth Grow Box

When it comes to getting a good stealth grow box, there are a lot of features and options that you’ll need to consider before you settle on the perfect equipment for your indoor stealth grow. Fortunately, Grow Box USA has every option for stealth grow cabinets that you could ever want. Here’s an overview of what’s available.

How Big Should Your Secret Grow Box Be?

The size you choose for your indoor grow box depends entirely on your available space, funds and desired yield. Obviously, a small stealth grow box is cheaper than a large one, but if you have the available funds, you can get very large, customized stealth grow boxes that blend perfectly with your existing décor.

What Kind of Lighting System Do You Want to Use for Your Stealth Grow?

Your basic lighting options are LED and HID. Many old-school growers swear by HPS/metal halide, and while, yes, they do work very well, there are some drawbacks. The biggest downsides are high bulb cost and extreme heat and power consumption. Life of the bulb is a factor too. HID lights run around 149 degrees (vs. LEDs at 70 degrees) and tend to last only a year or so (vs. an LED lifespan of 7+ years.) A final consideration when making the choice between the two is the high annual energy cost of HID lighting systems, versus the very low draw of an LED system (an LED stealth grow closet won’t draw more energy than any other household appliance.)

Should You Get a Hydroponic System or Cloning Chamber?

The difference between hydroponics and soil indoor grow boxes merits its own article, and the choice really comes down to personal preference and available funds. The quality of either method will be the same, but Grow Box USA’s stealth hydroponics systems do have a faster grow rate and a heavier yield per square foot than their soil counterparts. The downside with hydroponics is that these stealth grow boxes do require more time, attention, user savvy and personal expense. Don’t worry though – if you’re gung-ho for hydroponic stealth growing and don’t know anything about it, you’ll be happy to know that Grow Box USA offers lifetime technical and growing support.

When it comes to making the decision about whether or not to include a cloning chamber in your stealth grow cabinet, the answer is really determined by how much you want your annual yield to be, and how many interruptions in production you want each season. The nice thing about a cloning chamber is that you can nearly double your annual yield by growing clones at the same time that your main crop is fruiting. (The light is blocked between the two chambers, allowing for the differing light cycles needed.) Of course, the downside of including a cloning chamber is that you have less space for your main crop. Then again, many of our customers solve that problem by getting two stealth grow boxes – one for cloning and one for the main crop.
